Redefine Your Journey: The Unseen Power of Reading the Bible as a Guy in Your 20s

Hope you're all gearing up for an amazing ride in 2024!

I’ve been thinking a lot about the power moves we can make as we continue in 2024, and I wanted to share a game-changer with you – diving into the incredible adventure of reading the Bible. Now, I know we've got a lot on our plates, but trust me, this is worth carving out some time for. So, let's chat about why it's crucial to not only to be reading the Bible, but to engage with it it.

Strength in Identity

Our 20s are like a maze, right? So many paths, so many questions about who we are and where we're headed. Well, the Bible is like a compass for your identity. It reveals the truth about who you are and who God says you are.

Psalm 139:14 reminds us, "I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well." Finding your identity in God's truth is like strapping on a superhero cape every day.

Real Talk About Relationships

Whether it's friendships, dating, or family ties, our 20s are full of relationships. The Bible is packed with wisdom on how to navigate these waters.

Proverbs 13:20 drops some truth bombs: "Walk with the wise and become wise, for a companion of fools suffers harm." Reading the Bible is like getting advice from the ultimate wingman – guiding us towards healthy connections and helping us avoid the pitfalls.

Confidence in Purpose

Ever feel like you're stumbling through life without a game plan? The Bible is your playbook. It reveals the purpose God has for your life.

Ephesians 2:10 lays it out: "For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do." Knowing your purpose gives you the confidence to tackle life's challenges head-on.

Fortifying Mental and Emotional Resilience

Life can hit hard sometimes, and we need more than just muscle to weather the storms. Reading the Bible provides mental and emotional armor.

Philippians 4:7 promises, "And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." It's like having an unshakable fortress within, ready to face whatever comes our way.

Navigating the Gray Areas

Our 20s are riddled with gray areas – decisions that aren't black and white. The Bible serves as a moral compass, helping us navigate the uncertainties.

Proverbs 3:6 advises, "In all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight." It's like having a clear road map, guiding us through the ambiguity.

Guys, the Bible isn't just a dusty old book. It's a powerhouse of wisdom, a guidebook for life, and a source of unwavering strength.

So, let's make a pact to engage with the Scriptures during this season. Let it redefine our journeys, strengthen our foundations, and equip us for the adventures ahead.

Stay strong and keep pressing on!

Cheers,

Riley Adkisson
